If God Be For Me

(31) What shall we then say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us. (Romans 8:31 KJV)

I thought about titling this blog if God be for us. As it says in the scripture, but I wanted to make it more personal. I wanted the people who read this to walk away with the knowing that God is for them. I haven’t written in a couple of weeks. I would like to say it’s because I’ve been busy with no time. The truth of the matter is that the last couple weeks have been emotionally trying. I’ve been angry, I’ve been moody and snappy, but most of all I’ve been tired of people thinking that I don’t struggle. I was tired of the two second prayers that you give to those that we think has it easy. I was tired of the respect of testimony. Everybody’s testimony matters not just a select few. Truth is I’m not the talkative type (unless I’m really comfortable around you). I’m the loner, I self isolate every where I go. For me being around people is draining and I’ve always been the type to hold people at arm’s length. I don’t praise God like most people. It’s unlikely that you would catch me falling out screaming and shouting. That’s not me and probably never will be and because of that a lot of the times I feel discounted. I praise God and give glory to God through my writing! Truth is that a lot of the people who know me will never take the time to read my blog. In their minds I will always be the one that God can’t use because I don’t give glory how they think I should. Question who are we to judge how someone else give their praises to God.

For the past couple of weeks I mediated heavily on this scripture. If God be for us, who can be against us?  God was showing me something these two weeks. A majority of the time when we read this verse, our minds automatically go to our enemies. Those who don’t like us and who wants to see us fail. I begin to realize though that it’s not always our enemies who are against us. Sometimes it’s those who are the closest to us who may not necessarily want to see you fail, but who may not believe that God is backing you. It could be family, close friends, Co-workers, church members etc. Any body who does not believe that God called you for a specific purpose is actually against you. I do want to clarify one thing. There may be some people who see the calling on your life who may tell you to wait because they know that God is still molding you. People like that are not against you. You can always tell the one who is against you when you walk away either discouraged or with the sense that I’m going to prove you wrong about me.

I had a conversation not too long ago with someone who made the statement “God bless her for what she attempted to do for you” I was hot! I knew that they were referencing my blog and I knew that they were telling me to give it up. They know that I don’t have a lot of followers(that’s cool) and that I don’t get a lot of views (that’s fine) So they thought that I should give it up. Here’s the thing though God called me to this I may never be the next TD Jakes or John Gray, but I am Aqua McGee  my platform may be small but as a fellow blogger The Graced Citizen always tell me. If I just reach that one I did my job. Here’s the thing that I had to learn these last few weeks. Since God is for me it does not matter who is against me. Whether that’s an enemy or a friend. Truth is I’m tired of seeking the approval of those who will never see me. In some people eyes I will never measure up and that’s OK. I know that God is for me so it doesn’t matter who is not. The God who created me tells me constantly that I am good enough and to keep going!

That my friends is all that matters.

God’s blessings,

Aqua.

  2. I WISH I COULD VOICE NOTE A RESPONSE TO THIS! Lady Aqua this was sooooooo good and I can totally relate, especially to this line “but most of all I’ve been tired of people thinking that I don’t struggle. “ the struggle is definitely real and those same persons always want you to pour out and pray for them! But this is really deep and encouraging and I really love it. Busy is good also 😁 God bless you and you better keep writing because you know I’m over here reading 📖 every. Single. Word. Love you ! ❤️

    1. Love you too Ms. Dayna!! 💖 your so right the struggle is definitely real! Often times we minimize the next person’s struggle because it doesn’t look like everyone else’s. That’s part of what I meant when I mentioned respect of testimony. If we can’t identify with someone’s struggle, we’ll be able to celebrate their success. Thanks for the encouragement!! You better keep writing as well Ms. Lady!! 💞

God promised to give us a peace of mind. Those who keep their mind stayed on him. He will keep them in perfect peace. .God, also promised to give us his Holy Ghost, which is a comforter to us and it leads us in all truth. We have to renew our minds daily by reading God’s word. God does not expect us to be like No one else, We have to enter his courts (santuary) with praise and be thankful unto him and bless his name. We have to work out Our own soul salvation with Fear and Trembling. We do not have to scream or fall out to reach God in his santuary, but he wants us to praise him when we get to church. Some saints are loud and some are quiet, but God excepts praise.. God is not like man, if he gave you something to do ,just believe and do it. Do not let defeat come out your mouth or grab at the negativity, but fast and pray, unto the Lord. Love that person 70 times 7 and you will reap good benefits from God. The Lord asked us to work out our own Salvation with Fear and Trembling. I thank God for the Holy Ghost, because it will let you get angry and sin not. Charity (love) is the key to Heaven not our feelings. Many are the afflicatiobs of the righteous (meaning disappointments), but the Lord delivered them out of them all. Behold, how good and pleasant it is for beethern to dwell together in unity. The Lord said, your gift will make room for you. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord. Praise ye the Lord, Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary, praise him in the firmament of his power. The Lord encourages us that he will never leave or forsake us. Be encouraged because we are the happiest people on the face of this earth. God’s people., Remember, when negativity comes from any source, please rebuke it and find a scripture in your heart to encourage yourself to continue on in Jesus Name.,

    1. Amen Sis Ann! How I praise God is different than the next. It’s through my writing. Sometimes I may just sit still believe it or not that’s when I’m the most moved. No one should be criticized because of how they praise. We have no idea what’s going on with someone else so why do we criticize what we don’t know?

  5. Bravo! Keep following the path God has set before you! Thank you for sharing your joys and your struggles, and it’s so true if we as bloggers only reach 1 person it’s success that goes directly to God for using us as a vessel to reach someone that thought they were unreachable. Bless you!
